Founded in 2014, Sam the Local connects tourists with Locals to provide them with a private and customized experience based on their interests. As part of the redesign process, I have dissected and analyzed the user experience of the current website.
Note: Designs are based on personal opinions and does not reflect the views of Sam the Local.
Meeting the right Locals is only part of the experience, what they show you complete the adventures.
The renewed profile directory places an emphasis on both the Locals and the actual tours, with a detailed description of the guides and photos from past outings.
Previously, the profile page was cluttered with information. Users had to dig through a wall of text to learn about the tour and reviews were hard to discover.
With the brand new profile page, items are well-categorized in point forms, making it easier to digest the information. More importantly, tourists can effortlessly view and filter the reviews before booking the tour.
Why spend time in front of a computer when you can be out exploring?
The new booking panel helps streamline the booking process, so the adventures can happen sooner!
